Regulatory authorities and government

“Alignment and partnerships with regulatory authorities and government are being consolidated“

  • HOW DO WE CREATE VALUE FOR
    THE REGULATORY AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT

By continuing to comply with the relevant legislation
and regulations in an effort to provide South Africans with quality, affordable medicines; participate in a visible, viable and sustainable local pharmaceutical industry; service government as a customer of our products.

  • WHAT ARE THE ASSOCIATED RISKS AND OPPORTUNITIES FOR US AND
    THE REGULATORY AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT

The industry-specific annual adjudication of the single exit price
as increases have failed to cover the cost of increases faced by the industry. The complex and ever-evolving regulatory environment provides challenges with product registrations, which are common throughout the industry.

  • HOW DO WE ENGAGE WITH THE
    REGULATORY AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT

    Proactive government relations engagement strategy
is in place at executive and Board level with key government ministers and officials in national, provincial and local government. Regular contact, including personal visits to regulatory bodies, particularly the MCC. Also, through membership of the Chemical Industries Education and Training Authority (CHIETA).

  • WHAT ARE ASSOCIATED STRATEGIC
OBJECTIVES FOR ENSURING THAT THE REGULATORY
AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT’S NEEDS ARE MET

    Through continuous monitoring,
rigid approach to quality control and assurance, compliance is continuously achieved through the ongoing combined efforts of various teams.

  • HOW DO OUR OPERATIONS AFFECT
    THE REGULATORY AUTHORITIES AND GOVERNMENT

    Efficiency of supply
promotes accessibility and affordability of medicines; support investment in South Africa, as well as empowerment, transformation and corporate social investment initiatives.
