Genop is a specialised healthcare company focussed on ophthalmic, optometry and skincare/ aesthetic markets as well as owning the well known Epi-max branded range of products. 1924 1946 2001 2014 2018 1924 - Established as an optical lens, frame and instruments business – Cameron and McKillip. Genop acquired the Allergan subsidiary in South Africa. Genop turns 90 years old, restraint of trade ended and Genop re-enters dry eye and aesthetic injectables market. Genop becomes part of the Adcock Ingram family. Listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (“JSE”). 1998 Genop delisted from JSE and the Abrahamson family bought control.
